Hello, and welcome to LGBrighTon, Brighton University LGBT
Society. LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgender society and we are here to make sure
students who fall into any of those categories or
those uncertain of their sexuality enjoy their time
at Brighton University. We aim to get you acquainted with
Brighton as a 'gay city', introduce you to
likeminded students and provide an environment for
you to relax and enjoy yourself. We also aim to
provide support in the event that you need it and
provide you with information to keep you safe.
What can you expect ?
If you are a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans student
in Brighton, Eastbourne or Hastings you can expect a range of events and activities
spread over the course of this year. These include: Club
Nights, Pub crawls, Social gatherings, Cultural
events, Away days and Holiday trips along with any
other events you request, or that we think you might
enjoy. We've tried to spread them evenly to avoid
straining your finances or your workload and we will
often be combining forces with Sussex LGBT to give
you even more opportunities to make friends and have
fun. We currently have 120+ members!!
What do I need to do??
We use our website, http://www.LGBrighTon.net ,as
the centre of the group. It's here so that you can find out
about upcoming events, and contact the team. It's
also from here that all emails are sent so you need
to make sure you are registered with us to ensure we
can contact you. To register click the 'Register'
link in the
top left-hand corner of this page.
If you have any questions or problems don't hesitate
to get in contact with the LGBrighTon team by
sending us a form from the 'Contact
Us' page.
Otherwise, just take a look through the site and see what is going on...
